Brief description:
The SCS Foundation is inviting international students who wish to undertake a MSc program in Chemistry or Biochemistry at a participating Swiss University or a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, to apply for the Alfred Werner Masters Scholarships. The goal of the program is to support talented students to perform their MSc studies in Switzerland. The SCS Foundation actively supports the integration of the Alfred Werner Scholars, and also offers visits at the program-supporting industrial partners (“Meet and Greet” Program).

Scholarship value/inclusions:
For the academic period from September 2021 to May 2023, a maximum of 10 scholarships of CHF 30’000 each in the form of a stipend, will be awarded. Master degree courses in Switzerland are generally given in English, and the tuition fees are minimal.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be international students in the top 10% of their undergraduate programs.
Application instructions:
Candidates must first apply for admission to an eligible MSc program at a participating Swiss University or a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, and during such application, ask for the support of the institution for an Alfred Werner Scholarship. The university will then submit the nominations to SCS Foundation, by mid-April 2021. Since the university admission and selection process may take as long as 2 months, candidates are encouraged to submit their applications for the courses/scholarship as soon as possible, even though the deadline for AY 2021-2023 studies is 31 March 2021. Direct applications of candidates for the scholarship to the Foundation will not be considered.
