The University of Padua offers 2 types of scholarships to international students wishing to pursue a Bachelors or Masters degree study programme, commencing AY 2020/2021: 1) Padua International Excellence Scholarship Programme (43 scholarships) and 2) Scholarships offered by Departments (25 scholarships).

Scholarship value/inclusions:
43 Padua International Excellence Scholarships will be awarded, each scholarship consisting of a subsistence allowance of € 8.000,00 and a fee-waiver per year. The only amount to be paid by beneficiary students for each academic year consists of an administrative fee (regional tax and revenue stamp). The duration of the Padua International Excellence Scholarship is 2 continuous years for Masters degree candidates; and 3 continuous years for Bachelors and Single Cycle degree candidates.
• Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science scholarships, each scholarship award is € 2.400,00 for 1 academic year:
– 1 scholarship for applicants to the Bachelors degree in Animal Care;
– 1 scholarship for applicants to the Masters degree in Biotechnologies for food science.
• Department of Agronomy, Food, Natural resources, Animals and Environment, each scholarship consists of € 5.760,37 per year. The scholarship is granted for 2 academic years for a total amount of € 11.520,74:
– 4 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Italian Food and Wine;
– 4 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Sustainable Agriculture.
• Department of Information Engineering, each scholarship consists of € 5.200,00, granted for 1 academic year:
– 3 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degrees in ICT for Internet and Multimedia, Computer Engineering and Control Systems Engineering.
• Department of Physics and Astronomy, each scholarship is € 10.00,00 per year, granted for 2 academic years for a total amount of € 20.00,00:
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Astrophysics and Cosmology;
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Physics of Data.
• Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita”, each scholarship is € 5.500,00 per year, granted for 2 academic years for a total amount of € 11.00,00:
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Cybersecurity;
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Data Science.
• Department of Political Science, Law, and International Studies, each scholarship is € 5.760,37, granted for 1 academic year:
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance;
– 2 scholarships for international students enrolling in the Masters degree in European and Global Studies.
Eligibility:
Eligible applicants are highly talented international students from all over the world wishing to enrol in one of University of Padua’s Bachelors or Masters degrees taught completely in English. Applicants must not possess an Italian citizenship (except for dual citizenship including Italian). They should have a non-Italian foreign secondary school diploma (for Bachelors or Single cycle degrees applicants) or a non-Italian Bachelors degree (for Masters degrees applicants) that allows admission to the Italian University system.

Scholarships are primarily reserved for candidates applying to the first Call for application, which deadline for AY 2020/2021 is 7 March 2020. There is no separate application or additional specific documents to be submitted besides those required to apply for the selected degree programme.
