For 2025 awards, the scholarship is valued at $41,753 p.a. per annum. The scholarship assists with tuition fees and living costs.

Eligibility:

You must:

• • be a commencing or enrolled international student
• • have an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential
• • have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a master’s by research or PhD at the University of Sydney.

1. Apply for admission and submit all required documentation for admission to a higher degree by research through Sydney Courses by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below, and
2.  Submit the scholarship application form by the deadlines outlined in the Application and Award Timeline tables below.

For research periods 1 and 2 in 2026, the deadline is 12 September 2025 while research periods 3 and 4 in 2026, the deadline is 19 December 2025.
